I’m Jon Burdon, an internationally qualified running coach, and specialist in a mindful, natural movement approach.
I absolutely love running – road, trail, fell, ultra, cross country, parkrun, orienteering, adventure racing – you name it, I’ve had a go.
I Studied Chi Running with Danny Dreyer founder of Chi Running as well as other master and senior instructors in the Chi Running technique.
Becoming an injury free runner
I’ve been running all my life but it was only when I discovered Chi Running that I found I could train and run injury free.
I’ve been injury free for ten years now and I attribute that to a patient, gradual approach to training. I’m more concerned with listening to my body and doing what’s right for me than a ‘no pain no gain’.
Working with the world's best coaches
In June 2014 I was privelidged to assist Danny Dreyer, founder of Chi Running at his Level 1 and Level 2 London workshops. This was an exciting chance to work alongside Danny, catching up on technique ideas and thinking from the master himself, as Chi Running is a technique which is always developing as it continues to revolutionise the running of so many people.

I’ve run workshops and running weekends across the UK for seven years.
I listen to you to discover your aims and help you discover what training pathway is right for you.
I believe in gradual progress. If I don’t think something is right for you, I won’t sell you a training plan and I will tell you why!
